“I like being you,” said the reflection in the mirror. “To me, you are perfectly perfect.”

Before The Reflection in Me became a published book, it became an animated film.

Created in collaboration with FableVision Studios and featuring the artwork of Peter H. Reynolds, the film introduced Marc’s message of self-love and acceptance to viewers around the world. Its reception helped carry the story from an unpublished manuscript to the shelves of bookstores, classrooms, and libraries.

Released in 2017, The Reflection in Me began as an unconventional attempt to help an unpublished story find its audience. Years later, Scholastic acquired the manuscript, and the story became a picture book illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds.
